Dear Editor,
I am writing to draw attention to the remarkable advances in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and gut microbiome metabolomics for predicting diabetic complications. Despite achieving recommended HbA1c targets, many patients continue to develop diabetic microvascular complications (1).
